Mortal Flower
I am a mortal flower who springs forth and sway.
And with all my earthly toils I fade away.
I lift my eyes unto the nurturing sun,
Soon the tempest will have begun.
So the flower that smiles arbitrarily,
Has a place to play but momentarily.
I am drowning in deep ocean of self doubt,
Waves overflow, carrying my tears as I pass out.
I wander to the hills when forsaken by happiness,
Invoking dead mentors as I ponder over this mess.
Their voices like breeze lulls me under fine trees of juniper,
Awake and depart under dawning lights of stars and Jupiter.
The flower that drops petals and tears today,
Tomorrow will find a better place to decay.

Soon the tempest will have begun.

Has a place to play but momentarily.
