What's my sacrifice to posterity?

I ponder upon the sacrifice I make
For wealth of generations yet to me
If I were to give all my resources
To provide comfort for my own wealth

I bequeath poverty
To the heirs of the future

My posterity
Should I not desire bread for myself
And instead give them means to bake

In our pursuits
Let's reflect
You and I
To prevent the lingering gaze
Of need and hunger upon our face

Through selflessness
We can sow the seed
Of a world where abundance feed
Not just for our own fleeting desires
But the cries of hunger our world aspires

In these actions lies a deeper emotions
A commitment to alleviate life's commotion
And bring an end to hunger's retraction.
