What is depression?
Its not something i can show
You just have to go through it
Before you can really know

I can try my best to explain it
And maybe you will understand
Its a lot like being stuck
Like sinking in quicksand

Depression is a rainstorm
That never goes away
Its always there
No matter what you do or say

Its this little voice
In your head
It'll tell you lies
And make you wish you were dead

Its this never ending battle
The fighting never stops
Its really really tiresom
It makes you wanna drop

They tell you to just stop
To just be okay
What they dont realize
Is that youre already struggling to make it day by day

Life played you
Played you like game
After just one round
You were never the same

That happy person
That everyone knew
If they could see inside your head
Theyd know it wasnt true

Life tore you down
It ripped you to pieces
And its still coming at you
It never ceases

What is depression?
Its the hardest thing to fight
It takes a lot of you
But you have to try to see the light
