Mirror in the Sky
Oh mirror in the sky, tell me what you see,
I gaze into your glass, and you're staring back at me.
I see the days of my youth, reckless and free,
When the world was wide, and the sky held the key.
I see my future, like whispers in the wind,
A mystery unfolding, where do I begin?

Oh mirror, tell me now, who am I meant to be?
Show me the threads of time that stretch inside of me.
Is my purpose in the words, the verses that I write?
Or do I wander aimlessly, lost within the night?
Reveal to me the truth, my soul is aching to know,
I’m seeking deeper meaning in the reflection that you show.

As I stare into your depths, past lives begin to rise,
Flashes of forgotten selves appear before my eyes.
In one life, I was a saxophonist, in smoky rooms I played,
The notes I breathed were freedom, the music never strayed.
But even as I swayed with the rhythm and the beat,
A longing deep within me whispered something incomplete.

In another life, I walked a darker road,
I was a hitman, carrying a heavy load.
The silence of the night was my only friend,
Until the bullet found me, and that life met its end.
Murdered in cold blood, with no glory to my name,
Just a life of shadows, and a legacy of shame.
Oh mirror, can you tell me what this all means?
Why does the past cling to me like forgotten dreams?

Then I saw myself, wild as a wolf,
Running through the wilderness, free and aloof.
Alone beneath the moon, with no pack by my side,
Yet even in my solitude, there was nowhere to hide.
For the longing in my soul, the endless quest for home,
Followed me through the forest, no matter where I'd roam.

Oh mirror in the sky, show me where to go,
I’ve traveled many lifetimes, yet there’s still so much to know.
Is there a place called home, where my spirit can rest?
Or am I meant to wander, always searching for the best?
Reveal to me the dreams that I have yet to see,
Help me find the path that will set my soul free.

You show me the faces, the lives I’ve led before,
But what do...
