The Queen's Move
So many things I've
Kept inside,
Many secrets
I've tried to hide.

The war that
Rages deep below,
The embers burn
With the fires glow.

The anger tries
To turn to revenge,
My mind just wants
It all to end.

To cut the ties,
Once and for all,
To find the strength,
And stand up tall.

The pain, the hurt,
The memories scattered,
Promises broken,
Dreams shattered.

In the end
It falls on me,
I was the one
Who chose not to see.

The strings that
Were attached to me,
But, you, Mr. Puppetmaster
Will soon see.

The hole you dug
Just for me,
Is the only view
You will see.

The battle I fight
Is for me not you,
To save myself
And make it through.

The blazing flames,
My broken heart,
The pain you caused
From the start.

The lies you told,
The secrets I kept,
The games you played,
The tears I wept.

The fire dies,
The war is over,
I saw you as a King,
But you were only a Joker.

You played a game of chess,
With a handful of cards,
And when you attacked me,
You were greeted by my guards.

You treated me like a Pawn,
But found out I am the Queen,
And there you thought
You would go unseen.

I am now stronger
Than I ever was before,
Finally strong enough
To close this door.

To let go,
And walk away.
To let Karma,
Finally have Her day.
