I once was in love,
I believed it came from above.
Your smiles melted my heart
"Nothing will take us apart,"
You always whispered.
I believed and to you I got anchored.
You got me thinking it was all real
Yet now I'm struggling to heal,

My dreams have shuttered
Prospects of a happy future murdered
Hopes guttered
Vision of loving again blurred.
