This past few months have been hard,
Smiles have been far and few, happy days less than those that are sad.
We are still so lucky though and really need to be thankful,
Thankful for those who put their lives on the line,
Even when we don't follow they rules,they do so time after time.

I don't search for batman, superman or wonderman when searching for a hero anymore,
When all this time, we have heroes for us to adore.
Nurses, doctors, police, firefighters and all the others, we thank you,
Quite simply without you, there isn't much we would be able to do.

We pray you all stay safe and know that you are appreciated every day,
Your efforts and heroism we will never be able to repay.
