What's the term for those who don't cling to any side at all?

In this tumult, "Apolitical",yes, this is what I recall.

In all the situations we tend to maintain a neutral stance,

No strain and resistance, yet we are met with a nasty glance.

They tell us we are the worst of the lot,

And label us as a hypocrite and bigot.

We profess harmony and don't create divide,

Our remarks are innocuous and not snide.

It is rationality which must back the notions,

Why to support anything because of emotions?

As, each of them have a certain logical basis,

But on a particular point they put more emphasis.

Delirious, onto whom we should repose our faith,

We decide not to solely rely upon what anyone saith.

It's clear, neither do we fabricate, nor we abet,

No disruption , and still, we are a greater threat?

It doesn't matter in which direction you lean,

For, it's a quagmire, where no one can come out clean.

But my friend, with all due respect, it seems you forgot,

That choice is upon the person, whether to choose a side or not.

Atleast, i think, this is what the term "liberty" meant,

Just remember, without a centre the sides are irrelevant.
