Where the sky touches the sea

There was never a night
That felt right
Without your affection.
I dared not to dream
As I feared being hurt,
But, "hope is only a bee
That makes honey
Without flowers.
Why not try it?"
I told myself.

When the skies cast stares
Of uncertainty,
The sea came closer and
My heart grew
Unlimited flowers
Of hope.
I lit up the candle, excited to see
Where the sky touches the sea.

I was able to see the light, despite
All the darkness,
I closed my eyes and sighed.
I heard the crash of waves
And felt the warmth of the rhythmic
Breeze from the sea.
The silly heart was convinced
By the butterflies;
That's how I heard the tunes of
Your redeeming love.

My strong faith squired me like
A lantern in the dark,
The regret is much of a result.
My daredevil love penetrated
The walls,
I hoped his love would recognise
No barriers,
But hope had feathers indeed;
Mine had flown away.
In the end, it was just me and
My thoughts,
A painful trap, long after he was gone.
