THE MYSTERY OF EASTER
With a loud cry he said, "Father, if it is your will take this cup of suffering from me. Nevertheless my will but your will be."

His agony and fear turned his sweat into blood. Just a glimpse of what's going to happen the following day when blood will fill all over his body like a flood. It all seemed his father in heaven was silent until angels were despatched to strengthen him for the greatest trial to come.

Betrayed with a kiss by his disciple and was carried away to be slaughtered like a lamb. Sadness flowing through his mother's heart like a dam. The devil laughing massively thinking he has defeated God. Forgetting his plan was the beginning of the salvation drawing board.

Beaten, mocked, struck, accused falsely but he didn't have to prove he was God's son. Looking very weak and drained he carried the cross which bore the sins we had done.

He prayed for the forgiveness of those who nailed him to the cross. They didn't care, rather they gambled for his clothes by casting lots. His chances of surviving was in a moment of drought.

Temptation began to lurk at his face when he was dared to save himself and God forsook him. Yet for the love he had for humanity he did not give in even though it got to the brim.

The silence in heaven was abrupt whiles hell was celebrating. But the world did not know heaven had a plan to bring Jubilation into the hearts of men. The kind of jubilation that would be implanted into the hearts of men and rescue them from the devil's den.

He died to conquer death, rose for our redemption for the resurrection and life to appear in reality. We thank the heavens his last supper, his cry on the cross and resurrection was not in vain. For he was fidel to the mission he was given even in the midst of pain.

Through his death we became a new creation. The curtain in the temple was torn into two for man to access the great redemption. He paid our debts and we are free from our transgression. The day he died was the beginning of salvation. For it was the thief on the cross and the centurion who believed he was the one to come to bring to all restoration.
