"I wanted"

I wanted to soar high, like a bird in
the sky, To chase dreams and never ask why.

I wanted to dance in the rain, without a care,
To feel the joy and let go of despair.

I wanted to laugh till my sides hurt,
To find the happiness that life can
assert.

I wanted to love with all my heart, To embrace every moment, right from the start.

I wanted to be free, to be truly me, To live a life full of serendipity. But most of all, I wanted to be, The best version of myself, happy and free.
