Over the years
I have been overlooked
Always resulting to tears
I have been broken
Nothing to cheer

I was sad
There was nothing I could do
Just to make my parents proud
I always felt like am not useful
As if I am overshadowed by a cloud

Just then I made up my mind
Not to sit down and cry
Its time for me to shine
Not to sit back and lie
I need to put all behind

A man then advised me
That life ain't a bed of roses
You don't sit back and watch it
You sit up and fight it
You can do anything

And I realized
It was my time to shine
Everything was going fine
I felt like I could fly
It always brought me a smile
