MAP OF YOUR SOUL
Nature always had her way of homeostasis
Replacing the replaceable
Tell the irreplaceable returned to dust
For the awaiting recycling,an unexcapable fate
I thought we could escape the inevitable together
But then you turned to dust in my arms And remained a scarlet scar on my soul
To think I lost you to the mass of recycling
Mingling with mother earth till disintegration to unrecognision

And now you linger everywhere
The dust under my foot
The heat mother earth sends to the heavens
For rains keeping the recycling in succession
The humus plants absorb for enrichment
The smell of wet grass after a downpour

Each day they continue to remind me
Of the colour of your laugh
The light in your smile
The scent of your cologne
The warmth of your hug
The softness in your gaze that regarded me
As more than a mere person but
A friend closer than none

I wish I could stay a thousand years more
Daring to hope fate would intertwine our paths once more
And no matter how much you change
I could never miss the map of your soul
