As I sit and let my mind wonder
A question came to mind
That I could not answer
As I think and see all of my possible conclusions
I could not choose my path
I walked on, and over, and on side of my path but could not find a answer

What if your father told you one day that you will be king of kings
but it will come at a price
Could you make that choice
Not knowing the outcome
Could you make that ultimate decision
Not knowing that you're choice will effect everyone for all times

Would you have faith that day
Would you delay telling the truth
Would you not take that chance and pick the easy way out

As I sit and wonder what my answer would be
I drift back into my memories of my past and found no answer
For only one man had that choice to make

He chose love
when all that was left was hate
He chose understanding
when ignorance was the only thing left
He chose to seek out knowledge
when people chose to never question the truth

I sit and I wonder could I have made that choice that day
Could you have made that choice that day

And as my heart turns cold and unforgiving
I fall into a never ending darkness
And as tears fall from my eyes
I know what my answer would be

I would never choose love
Because my hate came from love
I would never choose understanding
Because ignorance made me understand
But knowledge is truth
And the truth will always be questioned because a lie is beautiful to some
And the truth cuts to deep to heal...
