I NEVER REGRET
I NEVER REGRET

I never regret the years that pass,
And whisper sonnets in my ears.
They sway oft frail as a weary grass,
And keep me reminded of my fears.

I have lived new lives thru' hours of death,
And saw graves dark each night in dreams.
I have played bleak games with broken faith,
And almost drowned in devil's streams.

I rose each time from cinders still,
And flew anew to the skies that's burning.
I've gulped and quaffed the crimson pill,
And trembled hard despite each warning.

I never regret for the hours that passed,
For, what's all mine has come...
