A Letter To Things Never Done
To doors I should've opened,
There is no day I never asked,
"What awaits me there?
Will there be walls, unbreakable and tall,
that no storm could blow away my soul?

Will there be no holes on my roof
to keep my floor dry during rainy seasons?
and never slip again
nor be soaked from the leaks of heavy flow.

Will there be huge window panes
that frame the ethereal scenes–
of city night-lights, of birds passing by,
of foliage dancing along the wind's blow,
and of the motion of clouds during sunrise?

Will there be a chandelier of diamond
that shimmers too bright to spot the gloom?
Will there be bars of gold on the table
that could serve my endless ambitions?

I always wonder 'cause I've never been there.
I wish I have, I wish I could,
If only I never listened
to a coward heart and doubtful mind,
and to notions that people theorized,

I should've held the knob at least,
Take a peek of what kind of life it is.
Different, certainly.
Better, maybe.
