Time Rolls By

As time rolls by, so do I.
I can go here, I can even go there,
I just can't be everywhere.
There are times when I can't get anywhere.
It's only those times when I sit still, and go nowhere,
That I'm in a position to lay bare
timeless truth and mystical expanse.
A depiction of time that transcends compare.

As time rolls by, so do I.
There are times when I move fast,
and there are plenty of times were I move slowly.
Most of the time there is always somewhere
I feel the need to keep going.
It's only in those times when I sit still
That I ask myself, Where did I get this notion,
Where exactly am I going?
If I have no destination,
Am I following involuntarily or am I leading under compulsion?
I don't really know.
At times, I feel as if I'm just going with the flow.
It's frustrating when I ride, walk, or run anywhere,
just to get there but still stand on ground zero.

If time rolls on by, why should I?
When I don't comply,
I hope for the day the earth stays still,
Because most of us mortally wearied
sojourners and drifters never will.
These small yet livelier fanatics
Those who are still eager to do whatever it takes to live,
who prefer to put their trust in sure nothings,
rather than in uncertain somethings.
Those who allow with complacency their securest possession to escape by futurity,
At times, a long time away from what we mean,
to what life means,
Time continues to roll on by, unseen.

As time rolls by, I find immense patience
As I stand by.
I sit still now-a-days,
It enables me to perpetual peace,
It disables the need to thrive like waifs and strays.

He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Also, He has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that we cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
