Come Outside
Writhing clouds, the pitter patter of droplets upon pavement
An omen, a reminder of the struggles that have harmed you
But the cold, wet drops that dampen and darken the world
Are trying to call you, to open your eyes
The subtle roar of the storm on the roof
It whispers like a mother, gentle yet persistent
Dont let those distractions hinder you any longer
Come outside and feel fascination in the ordinary
Each thing the droplets touch are given new light
Gradually all is covered with a silver sheen
Join the song, let the drops play your melody
As streams pour down your face where tears once fell
Splash in the puddles, let freedom redeem you
Feel how your past can no longer cause fright
The shower is not meant to wash your fears away
But to sprout the strength within you to grow beyond it
Each experience, each insignificant raindrop
Comes together to make an unstoppable storm
Let the intensity surge through your veins
Come outside, and let your inner self be alive
