Sparred against the man that I knew
when we first sparred, I had a different view
fighting against my insecurities and shame
but when it's time to fight, I don't play games.
We would spar every third day of the week
allowing myself anger & shame to finally speak
I allowed him to check me when I'm wrong
by him doing that would make me look strong.
