Character is everything. A person's character determines how far he goes in life. Gifts make way for people but in the end, character will determine how long and how far you'll access that way. 1 Corinthians 13 verse 1 - 3 emphasize on the truth that every action or thing you do with your gifts without love is nothing. I've grown to cherish character more than gifts; not to say gifts are not important because it is written in the word of God to pursue spiritual gifts which are given to us by the holy spirit. This is my assertion, as we pursue spiritual gifts, we must also allow the holy spirit to work on our character. I have great admiration for gifts, yet I don't hail men because of their gifts. # A person's gift can draw me to him but his character will determine my period of service to him #
