Father
The word Father
Is the embodiment of you
There is never enough thanks
For all that you do
You have never failed
Or let us down
You’ve healed our wounds
True love was found
A family created
Ups and downs
Break downs,
breaking free,
And I couldn’t imagine
In my wildest dreams
What life would be like
With you beside me
Beside your family
And that beautiful day
We all took your name
Was the day I realized
How far we came
So much more to come
So much to lose
Too much to gain
It gives me blues
Some days we’re happy
Some Are sad
But no matter what
You’re their dad
You’re not alone
I’ll forever be
That Place you call home
Your Family
Happy Father’s Day
To a real, and beautiful man
Take my inside pocket
Hold their little hands
Let’s raise our ladies
teach them
They can have it all
And if they reach for the moon
But fall back on the stars
They know we’re here
To catch them when they fall
