The Fates fucked me over
when they led me to you.
They knew I had to lose you,
so I'd lose myself, too.
The pain I had to suffer.
So many bitter truths, it's
the only way to level up
and write the way I do.
Some say it's a blessing,
some say it's my strength.
I grew roses from the heartache
and now I'm growing my wings.
But at the bottom of it all
there's one thing I can't forget,
from the moment that we met
I knew I was just a chess piece
on a board of bigger things.
But that knowledge brings no pleasure
to the pain that built in my wings.
