I'm Invisible
I'm Invisible.
You can't see me.
I can sit right here next to you
On the settee,
But you'd never know of it,
I'm transparent you see.
I can walk through your walls
Like they're not there at all
Here I am in the kitchen
And now in the hall.
I can go just about anywhere
In the blink of an eye
One minute beside you
Then way up in the sky.
Your dog knows I'm lurking here,
When he pricks up a tousled ear,
And utters a lowly growl,
When I'm passing near.
But my secret is safe and sound,
Of that I am sure,
As my invisible treat
Is snapped up from the floor.
So when you feel lonely
Just remember I'm here
To listen intently
To your hopes and your fears.
But expect not an answer,
You'd not hear if I did,
Cos in another dimension
Is where I'm currently hid.
