Youth
#WritcoPoemChallenge
If only wishes came true,
I have one or two,
ok maybe a few,
And they're all about you.
I wish futures were chosen,
And fates could be woven,
Then I could give you your dreams
And you'd never be woken.
I wish death were disturbed,
And aging was curbed,
To hand you all time
So you'd live unperturbed.
I wish brains could be switched,
And grades could be ditched,
So that you would change
Where your focus is pitched.
Youth is a gift
Yet you won't open yours.
Your life is books, chores
And staying indoors.
If only wishes came true,
I hope that they do
So that in the years to come,
When your youth's residue
You'll be able to return
And start it anew.
