Strength of my mother
The strength of a woman
She strives and fight
For the betterment of her children
She raised her hand where many

Fear to do so
She fights barehanded
Until the grounds prunes
For her offspring to enjoy

The harvest without shedding
A sweat yet no praise
From the womb of the earth
She's only victimized as evil

In fact she's depicted as an architect
of human suffering, Eve's fruit
Like a haunted gender
Cunning like a ghost

She's invisible when it matters
The most to those above her
But she's a raw seed
Unpalatable to this bitter world

Lead by men, who're abusive
A shield is what my mom is
She's worn her armour to protect me
Evidence is on her scars

Deep in her heart
But as a warrior she hides
Them from the light of my eyes
Yet in the dark she reveals them

To keep me safe
Strength of a woman
In my mother was seen nine months
Prior to conceiving me

She's my mother
She's my rock
She the root of my existence
Yet I do not know her
