The Pen's Passion
My pen bleeds with different stories to tell,
Every line and stanza reveals a different version of me,
Each version with the same undying passion for my craft,
This passion has replaced the heart in my chest and now beats life into me.
Every piece is a war, I survived to tell the tale,
I am a warrior dressed in pages with a pen as a sword, fighting with metaphors and similes,
In hope I get the recognition I deserve,
But yet every piece is a loss, I call victory.
The word "give up" strikes fear within me because sometimes it's a reality,
I get tired, I am human,
But I have invested so much blood and tears into this,
Passion I now call Master, it guides and strengthens me through every piece and that is why every piece is a masterpiece.
In this never ending war,
Between me, myself and my future aspirations,
I fight passionately against this bearded beast called fear,
With my pen bleeding from the scars of war,
And my heart beating passionately,
I hope that one day and someday,
I can finally look back and say,
Mom, Dad... I won!!!
