Revolutionary Soldier
I fought in the revolutionary war,
a battle for freedom,
a fight like no more.
With musket in hand, and bravery at heart,
I stood for what I believed, and did my part.
I saw blood spill, heard the cannons roar,
the cries of my brothers, never heard before.
But I held my ground and fought with all my might,
for a cause greater than me, in the dark of the night.

I came back home, with scars and pride,
a hero to some, a man of my time.
But little did they know, I was never the same,
for the horrors I saw, still haunt my brain.

So as I lay here, on this bed of stone,
I close my eyes and whisper, "I fought in the revolutionary war."
But it was all for nought, we died in vain, wars are still fought everywhere,

it is quite insane...
