Blade of Betrayal
When betrayal disguises an important lesson
I think, "How could I have let this happen?"
Wielding the abuse like a sharpened blade
To cut enough for the damage to be repaid
But this won't alleviate the throbbing ache
Before me it was her she had betrayed
There's nothing I could do that hasn't already caused her pain
Though this blade will in fact come to my aid
Breaking the chain to let her go
A chance for mind to finally be free
Allowing myself to grow
And leave her behind
As just another memory.
