Her heart began to pound
Inside, her wall was crumbling
Her ears heard not a sound
She shifted, felt uncomfortable

Hoping it would return
Afraid the words would tumble out
A whimper and a whine
She shook her hair out of her eyes
She turned, and said, "I'm fine."
