Where do all the dead birds go?
That fall from sky
too old to fly,
does anybody know?
Does Mother Nature intervene?
The scavenger's meal
snow or soil conceal,
or under a water serene?
Are there as many birds as humans?
Then why don't I see more
dead on the floor,
spilling over in trash cans?
Perhaps they know when to die?
Their internal clock
saying leave the flock,
don't cause a mess nor cry.
Where do all the dead birds go?
Flushed down our loos
or top secret news,
why not question the status quo?
