She was bound and trapped,
locked up in a jar,
treated like a criminal,
tortured

she was chained,
to things she knew nothing of,
treated like a criminal,
starved

she was going insane,
she sought freedom,
she wasn't a criminal,
she knew who she was

she broke free at last,
breaking every chain,
rushing out like the waters,
she flowed in freedom
