Filtering rays of sunshine,
Brighten up my day,
My heart swells with hope and pride,
Keen for the glories coming my way...
Here I come! O Life!
With a zillion dreams beneath my starry eyes
I take the road that leads me towards you,
Can you not sense the excitement
Gleaming like a million fireflies,
Lighting up every cell in my body
O Life! Regardless..
Of all our whims and strife
I thank you thee,
For all the loving gifts and
For the scars that I carry with pride.
The sweat on my brow,
The fruit of my toil
The power to change my destiny !
You taught me, O Life!
It resides only in ME!!
