Autumn Breeze
In the wilds of the world,
Where the beasts roam free,
There's a truth that's unfurled,
For all to plainly see.

When a human extends harm,
To end the life of a creature,
In that moment, they lose charm,
And become a base feature.

For animals don't kill for sport,
Or to indulge some dark desire,
Their instinct drives them to abort,
Only what they need to acquire.

So, when a human acts this way,
They become the very thing they kill,
A beast without a soul or sway,
Who seeks destruction with a will.

Yet, there are also animals,
Who'll risk life and limb for man,
Selfless, brave, they're exceptional,
With hearts bigger than their span.

For when a creature shows such care,
A respect for human life,
They rise beyond what's fair,
A nobleness that's rife.

And so, we must remember,
That actions define our place,
For killer or protector,
We choose the kind of grace.
