At break of dawn, the Sun leisurely yawned
Unfurling its golden rays ready for his daily round
A cluster of buds pestering mother plant for cue
With dew drops cool tickling them, how desperate they were to bloom
The mighty sun looked with love, piercing through the hazy mist
Kissing each drop of dew making them merrily glint
The excited bud one by one opened their petals
Releasing into the Zephyr it's heady scent
Birds, bees and the butterflies flew in to feast
Ready to kickstart this lovely day with a nectarine treat ...!!!
