Indigence
I sit inside my thoughts most days,
I just pick apart my dreams,
When my pondering is more like smothering,
Every little bit of hope in me.
My suffering right on through the dread,
Isn't as easy as it seems,
I start each day, living through the gray,
Finding bits of sun with ease,
But when the darkness comes,
I don't walk, I run.
To the darkest hole to be in,
Alone I stay, as the shadows play,
I blend in so well you can't even see me.
