lately I've become very acquainted with pain
the type that comes when you've been lied to repeatedly by the same person, I thought we were done lying after the first time but I guess not. only in those small mere moments when he holds me and tells me he loves me do I forget the pain, the slow and steady aching pain never truly seems to go away it gets pushed further and further away. it wanders in the back of my mind waiting for the perfect time to float back to the surface.
