it's past eight
the day ended right
I take my soul to the bed
after I have been fed

All I see is darkness
as I stare at it's starkness
another night has begun
a dangerous night

I twist and turn
my thoughts on the run
I feel the heat
I hear my heartbeat

I look at the clock
I see the dawn
I see the sun
it took forever but another dangerous night is gone
