A Red Moon
A moon shines in the dark of night,
But unlike others, its hue's not right,
A deep red glow, a guilty face,
As if ashamed of its chosen place.

It thought, "I'm not like the rest,
My whiteness lost, my brightness repressed,
I'll disappear, and none will care,
For a moon that's red, with no shine to share."

So it hid from the starry sky,
Leaving darkness, and a fearful sigh,
The night grew thick with evil deeds,
And horrific acts that fill hearts with needs.

But as the moon observed from its hide,
The chaos spread, the world divide,
It realized its true, noble role,
To shine, to guide, and make the heart whole.

No longer ashamed, it reappeared,
Its red glow shining, no longer feared,
For in its uniqueness, it found its might,
To light the darkness, and bring new light.

The world rejoiced, and all was well,
The red moon shone, its story to tell,
Of self-acceptance, and inner strength,
A beacon in the dark, a guiding length.
