I wobble our scaffolding
each skrew committing to the floor
I hide between the planks
when I don't feel consoled

I walk bare foot on the flimsy boards
splinters slide into my open pores
I might feel hard to handle
you might want to fold your hand

but a gamble is warranted for
harness the potential of the outline
and an investment is realised
in this house there is potential

it's hard to handle a hammer for so long
bashing and brewding as we go on
it's hard to cope with the sanded dust in the air
filling our lungs, throwing the blame around while we asphyxiate

it's hard to feel the wear and tear
to fix something that has become so bare
it might be feel hard to handle
and it really might be

lest the pain be futile
