Talk Sick Show
Love shows its face
Whenever you forget it exists;
No defense for the charisma he emits;
You take his hand, close your eyes, and
With one passionate kiss
you submit;
The painful redundancies of past discrepancies
Warn to take caution,
Instead you tie ribbons around your heart,
Your autonomy wrapped and gifted to him;
Lost and confused on what life had dealt,
But in trying to fix others you just break yourself;
Escalating emotions in need of an excuse,
Like it matters anyway when
you just take the abuse;
Turning away from mirrors that reflect the same,
He turns up the gas to light his way
So everywhere you go,
you’re always to blame.
But is he at fault?
For doing only what he knows?
He’s only mimicking what he’s seen
on prime time television shows.
