as a land
to plant myself
and bloom with grace.
as i drew near,
skepticism covered me
as your land is void of any plants.
gathering my courage
i enquired for place in your life.
to my surprise
you never said nay,
but took me in
planted me, nurtured me
and took care of me.
now i stand as
an alluring rose
to say the world
how i love you
and what price your love costs.
