If only wishes can come true,
I have one or two or maybe a few
And they're all about you,
The memories I wished of us.

Listening to the sound of whistling trees,
I could hear your name being whispered in my ear.
It feels so real like you are here with me,
but then I turn around to search for your hands
And I realize that it's only a wish.

Every now and then my mind goes blank,
And the only thing I picture is you and I
Standing side by side saying our marriage vows,
Perhaps your chessy smile and laudable laughter
Would have made it more delighting,
But you are gone and these are mere wishes.
