Stayed in the field and the light
Frozen in the smile towards friends
Warmth from light and inside

In that moment I felt whole
Complete and utter joy
Knowing that this moment
Once over will stay

In that moment I saw the sun
Shining down on us
Through our savior tree
Where we met all together

In that moment I loved you all
I saw your smiles I wanted to keep
I saw the way you welcomed me
I knew that no matter what you were there

In that moment I didn’t lie
I didn’t say forever when I knew it wouldn’t be
I didn’t mourn the loss to come
I didn’t ask for what I couldn’t have

In that moment I felt peace
I felt happy to have it all
I felt alive it was enough
I felt complete

That moment passed
Now in my memories it lives
Yet I am not in mourning
And I am not in pain

That was a moment I’m thankful to have had
