I’d like to speak some words of wisdom
But how can I?
When you hold my heart for ransom
You broke it fast
Someone thought it wouldn’t last
You forgot who I am
What I have accomplished
And with some boost what I still can
Past breakups
Are future makeups
You don't have to call
I'm linked to your thinking
You trying to act tall
Wishing that under the sheets we'd be sinking
The ground is shaking with such passion
Reminds me of our first lovely collision
Up in your mansion
I’d put a rose on your ear
But then you might want me near
I know you remember the trees
That’s where one day
You could have found me on my knees
Only me and another couple
Will be able to say
I'm the one who kissed her cheek's freckle
Timeless our love remains
Like the scar left on our hearts' frames
It’s funny how some things come unexpected
That’s because something happened
But wasn’t detected
What I did wrong you have so clear
But you forgot what we held so dear
The way I said words triggered a reaction
If we were a book
There might still be traction
Closing my eyes
Pictures appear
But how can a spirit have more
Than a crocodile tear?
We'll be forever connected
Who knew last year
