And so it began with a tug and pull.
Pieces flying everywhere as my life shattered.
The guilt, the confusion, the overwhelmingness.
When will it stop.

I'm told to be strong but isn't that what I was doing?
as I hid the feelings, did what I didn't want to do,
just because it was the adult thing to do.
