The Tragedy of the Unseen
Walking around on this heavy night, makes the lights on the water seem far more bright
So peaceful, so sound is this glorious view
Almost like magic, would say some...but a few
What went through her thoughts that night
To look over the edge and decide to take flight
Was it because of the absence of the stars in the sky
Or because of the tears that we're drowning her eyes
Was the pain in her so deep that the impact would seem small
Or was the crazy so bad that she didn't care at all
Maybe she needed to feel the rain on her face
Or maybe there was nothing powerful enough to embrace
If only time would've allowed me to get ahead
Would I have been able to stop her from stepping off that ledge
Although I didn't know you, that moment, I will never forget
I can only hope that you embraced the beauty that surrounded you to your death
