Stranded and Alone
Stranded and alone
I walk on my own.
No hand to hold,
all my childhood friends are now old,
some seem to be sage.
Is that an effect of age?

Stranded and alone
on my bed, I'm holding my phone.
Absentmindedly, I go through a list,
a list suddenly turns to mist.
Could that be one of my thoughts?
Now I want emotions of robots.

Stranded and alone
these feelings slice the bone.
I sit not by myself
but, my presence is that of an elf.
For one so tall
I feel like an evergreen during fall.

Stranded and alone
these feelings I cannot hone.
I tried to mar them
but they are vast like the dam.
What am I to do then?
I'll wonder until when?

Stranded and alone
like an undiscovered cyan stone
I lay buried in an unknown cave.
I need a miner who is brave
to emancipate me
or alone I shall forever be.

Stranded and alone
with solitude, I sit on my throne.
In a castle so vacant
my life feels stagnant.
Loneliness and I seem to be inextricable
perhaps that'll be part of one more fable.
