It's been raining for hours,
Admired its misty view from the window,
Could hear the wind and the showers,
While you lay your head on my pillow
A symphony of beats underneath our chests
The soft whisper of your breath
lulled me to sleep
in my dream, I woke up to find you gone
My heart ached from your absence
I was forlon, longing to hear your voice
And I walked alone in the dark
With misty eyes
My breath sighs
My heart's beat plummeted underneath
I do not know how to live outside of your existence
My breath is classically conditioned to the sound of your heartbeat
And when you're not here
My life's faint and the only thing that keeps me afloat is the hope of your return
wake me up so I can see you next to me
Just in time thunder strikes and I am jolted awake
To find you staring down at me with tears in your eyes
"Let's never be apart," you say
My heart flutters, my breath stops
I cannot fathom how to live without you
But you are only a phantom
an object of my imagination
the subject of my desire
