I've been writing away on a happy-go-lucky kid’s book
Which you wouldn't suppose would stress me out all that much, but look

The thought of ruining reading for the next generation
Has me fine tooth combing through said story's configuration
Has me mapping each small detail to ensure connected dots
Has me binge-eating, mostly heavily spiced cinnamon knots
Has my tummy troubled, my nails bit up — has me counting sheep

Before you try to ease my mind by swearing it's not that deep

Sitting aside wee BellaDonna, glued to my narrative
All three, full of life, ever so keenly following along
Unaware what could have been a love was about to go wrong
So...
