Like Mother, Like Daughter
I saw my mother cry today
Two times
The first, at the movies
And second, earlier tonight
She was standing by her window, spacing out
She had her eyes closed when she heard me approach
When she had opened them once more, however
It was obvious she had been crying
She has always been a very emotional independent woman
But this time was vulnerable
She told me she was fine
But who would believe that?
I worry about her
But...
